About our farm
The Good Berry Farm is a family run pick-your-own blueberry farm in Colyton, 5 minutes out of Feilding and only 15 minutes from Palmerston North in the beautiful Manawatū.
When we open in January 2027, you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxed day on the farm with:
🫐 Pick Your Own blueberries under our covered growing system
🍦 Real fruit ice cream made with our own blueberries and other local fruit
🌿 A peaceful rural setting
🛝 A small children’s playground
🐑 And, from time to time, some very friendly sheep to admire!
For many years our farm has been used for grazing heifers, but we wanted something that better suited our land and family life. After plenty of research (and a big planting effort with help from friends in both 2024 and 2025), we now have more than 2,000 blueberry bushes growing on the property under a fully netted structure (and some raspberries!)
We grow both highbush and rabbiteye blueberry varieties, giving us an extended season that will eventually run from December through to March or April.
Our official Pick Your Own season begins in late January 2027.
When you visit, you’ll simply purchase your compostable picking punnets from the farm shop before heading out to pick your own fresh blueberries straight from the bush. Afterwards, treat yourself to a real fruit ice cream, relax in the outdoor seating area, and enjoy spending time on the farm.
Our goal is to create a welcoming destination where families, friends and visitors can enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, spend time outdoors and experience one of the Manawatū’s unique summer activities.
Blueberries take about seven years to reach full production so each season will be different while our orchard matures.
As you drive in you'll notice our young olive grove. In the future we hope to produce our own premium extra virgin olive oil right here on the farm!
We can't wait to welcome you in 2027.
